Witchy little woman

Happy belated Halloween 2011

The following are the faces of a toddler who was only just barely putting up with having her picture taken when there was candy business to take care of. Clearly my priorities were out of whack.

Cupcake city!

A couple weekends ago we whipped up a batch of homemade strawberry cupcakes with homemade strawberry buttercream frosting. Then we ate ‘em. The end.

New Van

Last week we got a pretty bad prognosis regarding our Corolla. The poor dear was on its last legs. Burning oil, 4 bad tires, and front brakes that wouldn’t make it through the winter. So, we traded it in and are now official suburbanites. We bought a mini van. A Dodge Grande Caravan to be exact.

Libby is thrilled. Not sure why. I guess just because it is novel. Or could it be the fact that she can get away from us more easily? Yes, I believe that is it. This morning she rushed to the back bench and was absolutely tickled that I had to get into the van to carry her out.

Again I say, that kid is an adorable cuss. There is just no better way to describe her.

The family that licks beaters together….

Another culinary adventure with Libby. I love how much that kid loves to cook. We decided that we needed to make some peanut butter cookies the other night. She is a total trip when cooking anything. She taste tests every individual ingredient…from the lovely sugary bits to butter to flour to raw eggs. (By the way, she does not recommend eating raw baking powder). At the tail end of the process she shared her beaters with Clay. What a generous little chef.

Libby picked out her shirt today. I am sure her Papa is pleased.

Tried out a new do on Little Miss. She couldn’t have cared less, but I think she is cute as a button.

That little smirk in the last pic wasn’t because I caught her in a smirky moment. It is there because I kept asking her to look at the camera so I could take a picture. She is doing everything in her power NOT to look at that camera. What a hilariously obstinate little cuss I have on my hands.

A wonderful day in the sun
