Libby goes to bed each night at around 7:30pm. As you may expect, Clay and I stay up for at least a few more hours before we retire. Before we go to bed I always peek into Libby’s room. I usually just like to see the rise and fall of her breathing. She doesn’t sleep with blankets in her crib so I can’t make the excuse that I am retucking her. It’s just something I need to do.
Ever since she could roll over and move around with ease these visits have become more and more entertaining. It is pretty common for me to summon anyone else in the house to witness the nutty sleeping positions Libby finds comfortable or for me to crack up so much that I have to rush out of the room so I don’t wake her up with my giggling. Little did we know that we had a zen yoga master in our midst.
Here are some pics of her from the last week or so. As you can see, she most often ends up folded over in half. We think that she sits up and plays in her crib till she gets sleepy then she just flops over and calls it a night. We call this position Downward Sleeping Baby. And lest you think that Libby shows no variety I have also included a classic; Buttus Elevatus also known as “That’s baby’s butt is stickin’ straight up!”
