Not all videos of Libby are great. Some of them only have elements of adorable mixed with bad lighting, bad angles, and bad narration. Just in case you ever wanted to see a sample of some videos that don’t normally make the cut…these are for you.

My dear darling mother called to tell me that she is pining for new libby pics on the site. We just spend an awesome weekend with Libby’s birthparents and I have some great pics from that, but they are in need of cropping, resizing, etc. Here are just a couple to tide you over.

Many of you may not know that Libby’s full name is Elizabeth Joss Mabbitt. She is named after my twin sister, Elizabeth Jane Trotzke, who goes by the name Betsy. Here is a sweet pic of Betsy and her half-pint namesake.

And here is just a pic of Libby being her absurd little self.

This is not my kid. This isn’t even a kid I know, but sometimes you just gotta give props to the cuteness of others.

Better late than never. I had intended to load these vids up on Sunday, but the day got away from us. Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Also, here are some pics of the more official outdoor egg hunt. Libby had a great time and got the hang of it immediately. She did the hunt with 5 of her cousins ranging in age from 6 to 10. Libby is their little pet princess so throughout the hunt as they ran past her they would chuck eggs into her basket to help her out. It was fantastic and her cousins are fantastic!

And here is just a bonus pic also from Easter because she wasn’t smiling in any of the others. What a cutey!

A photo story that tells the tale of Libby’s first experience with blackberries. It concludes with her reaction when she realized she’s eaten them all. Trust me, her outrage was completely understandable.

**You can see a large version of each pic by clicking on it. My favorite is the second to last. She is already showing signs of disbelief that we aren’t giving her any more berries. However, if you look at the large sized pic you can see that she is holding a berry in her hand even as she is giving me that look. The look that says, “By gum, you’d better start ponying up some berries, Ma, or it’s gonna get ugly in here.” And, as you can see, it most certainly did.

Seriously folks. Every video is gonna end this way.

****** Our 100th Post!! ******

At long last Libby is finally getting some more teeth. Her top middle two teeth are both coming out at the same time and racing to the finish. Unfortunately, it is taking a toll on our little kitten. She’s cranky, sleepy, and in pain. It’s pretty heartbreaking. She’s trying to be a trooper, but some days it is just too hard. There is one upside for her, though. She gets to watch extra episodes of Baby Signing Times while cuddling with her Papa.

This should help explain why a lot of our footage of Libby takes place when she is trapped in her highchair.

Sorry about how gritty the video is. I accidentally had the camera on a very small compression for video, but this was too cute not to share.

My mom called last week and “gently” reminded me that I haven’t put up a new post in a month and that the last post featured a very sick video of Libby looking completely discombobulated. So, here are some recent pics taken using my new wacky IPhone camera app and even a more recent video of a very healthy and happy little Libby. Sorry about the delay!

Also, we are now in a serious countdown till we have a slick new camera. The months of waiting are almost over! Sometime between now and May this household will own a new Nikon D3000. I am so excited I could do a cartwheel….I have never done a cartwheel in my life, but that is just how excited I am. No more will Libby’s ardent fans have to suffer through mediocrity. That kid’s life will be chronicled in technicolor! In the meatime you will have just to suffer through ridiculous IPhone app altered pics. Enjoy!
